ABOUT UNIVA

At Univa, we’re redefining how eating disorder care is delivered and experienced.

Founded in 2024, Univa was created to address one of the most pressing challenges in modern healthcare - the profound and often life-threatening impact of eating disorders on individuals and families. Our mission is to sustainably reduce the morbidity and mortality rates of eating disorders worldwide, transforming how care is accessed, delivered, and measured.

Our vision is to build and validate the world’s most outcome-focused, clinically robust digital care platform for eating disorders . A platform that empowers health systems and clinicians to deliver the highest standard of care efficiently and compassionately.

Eating disorders affect tens of millions of people worldwide. Hospital admissions have surged dramatically over the past five years, yet most services remain overstretched, under-resourced, and difficult to access. Clinicians everywhere are working tirelessly within systems that make it harder than it should be to provide the quality of care their patients deserve.

Univa is changing that.

Our dual-app care platform, uniquely grounded in evidence-based principles such as Family Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa (FT-AN) and the New Maudsley Model, combines clinical science, behavioural data, and digital innovation to extend the reach of evidence-based treatment. We’re working closely with the NHS, leading universities, and specialist charities to co-design digital tools that support both patients and carers, helping clinicians monitor progress, identify early signs of relapse, and sustain recovery between sessions.

Our founders, Rich Andrews and José Santos, are experienced healthtech leaders who have successfully built and scaled digital mental health services that integrate clinical excellence with human-centred technology. Together, we are creating a new model of care, one that is clinically rigorous, compassionate, and accessible to all.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of clinicians, researchers, and innovators united by a shared purpose: to reimagine eating disorder care for the next generation. At Univa, your clinical expertise won’t just change individual lives, it will help shape a scalable care model adopted by healthcare systems around the world.

If you’re a clinician who thrives at the intersection of evidence-based practice, digital transformation, and human connection, we’d love to hear from you. Join us and be part of a mission to make exceptional eating disorder care accessible to anyone, anywhere.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a pioneering clinical team that is shaping the future of eating disorder care. As a Clinician at Univa, you will play a dual role, delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapy to individuals and families while actively contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of the Univa Care Platform.

You will hold a manageable caseload of patients and families, providing structured therapeutic support that integrates live video sessions with the digital tools, psychoeducational modules, and progress-tracking features of the Univa platform. Through this blended model, you will help clients sustain progress between sessions, strengthen family engagement, and improve clinical outcomes.

Beyond clinical delivery, your insights will directly inform how the platform evolves, ensuring it continues to meet the real-world needs of both clinicians and service users. By sharing your experiences and feedback, you will help shape features, workflows, and care pathways that make the platform more impactful, scalable, and clinically powerful.

This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about innovation in mental health, values evidence-based practice, and wants to make a lasting difference at both the individual and system level. You’ll be part of a mission-driven team that combines clinical excellence with technology to transform how eating disorder care is delivered across healthcare systems.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver evidence-based therapy (e.g. FT-AN, CBT-ED, MANTRA, or family-informed models) to individuals and families through secure video sessions, supported by Univa’s integrated care platform.
  • Maintain a structured caseload, ensuring each client and carer experiences consistent, high-quality therapeutic support that aligns with Univa’s clinical protocols and outcome frameworks.
  • Harness the Univa Care Platform to guide between-session engagement — using digital modules, progress tracking, and secure messaging to extend therapeutic impact beyond the session.
  • Capture and review clinical data to inform personalised care planning, identify early signs of relapse, and contribute to outcome measurement and service evaluation.
  • Provide continuous feedback to the product and clinical innovation teams, helping shape new platform features, workflows, and content based on real clinical experience.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues across psychology, psychiatry, dietetics, and product design to ensure the platform reflects best practice and meets clinician needs.
  • Adhere to professional, ethical, and safeguarding standards, maintaining accurate documentation and upholding Univa’s commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and data protection.
  • Contribute to learning and research initiatives, supporting service evaluation, pilot studies, and the generation of evidence that validates the clinical impact of Univa’s model.
